Allocations are awarded for the duration of a supporting grant or for 12 months, with possible extensions up to five years. You can also make these requests at any time, rather than wait for the quarterly deadlines. You can now make one request with a much shorter allocations proposal. Many projects that formerly had to submit an annual allocation proposal under XSEDE may now fit within one of the new ACCESS opportunities for small or medium-sized projects.
